Conquering the Fear of Failures

     Failure is a word most of us are afraid of. Many of us fear to have failures in life. Letting the fear that triggers inside us conquers our determination and leads to failure. If we let this overcome us, we won't be able to do what we can do and what we want to do. Instead of quitting, one should treat failures as motivation. Through these failures we've done, we may know what and how to change for the better.

     In my way to success, I've been through a lot of failures. I don't feel bad because I know that nobody's perfect. Each of us can't avoid failures. All of it are life challenges. They don't just give us problems. They teach us on how to be better than who we are.

     One of the frustrating failures of mine was in my elementary days. I was always in the top five of our class. Just like every pupil, there were ups and downs in my studies. Though I was young at that time, I tried to do everything I can to pass. The hardest part of it was my family's high expectations from me.

     In the fourth grade, I wasn't in the top five. As usual, everyone was so disappointed. The pain was absolutely there. I know it's my fault, but I shouldn't quit. Instead of quitting, I treat that experience as a stepping stone in making a change. I don't want to end up being a quitter. I did my best, hoping that the decisions I made would work out. Hopefully, I was able to be in the top five  when I was in grade five. The decisions were worth it. Even though I knew that the result wouldn't always end up positively, I would never regret it because I know that at least, I tried. Now, I continue my journey to success with all the learnings and courage from the past failures I have done.

     Sometimes, experiences of failures are better teachers in life than success. The lessons from them are priceless. They give us the chance to make an important choice. Am I changing for the better, or will I just let this fear of failure once more defeat me? With those experiences, I learned my mistakes. The people with fears inside are given a chance to make a change in their ways and actions and to prepare them for the future failures that are bound to happen in our journey. 

'To Be, Or Not To Be' Significance

Everyone has instances in our lives wherein we need to make a special decision. There's a point where we'll utter to ourselves, 'Will I do this, or not?' It's facile to choose, but the fear triggering inside you makes it difficult and challenging. You may not know what to choose because you're not aware which is the best thing to be chosen. 

In my experiences, I've gone through a situation wherein I need to make an inevitable decision.I have to choose if I'll continue studying high school in Cavite with my grandma, or if I'll transfer in Makati with my family. It felt so hard for me in choosing the right thing to do. I do not know if I'll live in Makati, make new friends, and have a new environment, or stay in the town where I grew up and where I spent my childhood days. It's hard for me to decide because I don't know which was the rightest thing to choose.  I asked so many questions to myself. Is it better to stay where I have lived since I was a child? Will I go with my family which wasn't given a chance to know who I really am. My grandma's begging me not to leave her, but my dad's forcing me to leave. Both of them are important to me, so I don't want any of them to feel pain. I want to stay here in Cavite because I don't want to leave my grandma and I want to study in CavSci, but I also want to live in Makati so that I can spend my free time with my beloved family. It really confused me a lot. When I was thinking about it, I thought of my grandma. She's weak and too old to be hurt. She loves me so much. I can see her sincerity and affection right through her melancholy eyes. Right after my realization, I told it to my dad and he understood me. He said that if he was in my shoes, he'll make the same decision. The fearfulness and worries inside me were released.    That moment, I realized that I made the right decision. I know that I could still spend more time with my family when I am in college, so I chose my grandma. I just want to grant her simple wish from me.

I do not regret anything with the choice I made. One of my dreams was fulfilled. I was able to study in CavSci and to gain more friends. I was also able to spend more time with my loving grandma. The emptiness inside was filled with happiness. I tried to fulfill the love my dad was asking for me. I showed him that though we're not together, I still love him so much. At that time, I was able to realize that quote 'To be, or not to be' means it's now or never. You need to decide or you will earn nothing.

An interesting topic for us

So we'll enjoy it for sure

The prefixes were also mentioned

And the suffixes as well

The two of them caught our attention

And our activeness can tell

Our English this year was different

Several changes took place

Laziness inside should be ended

Time for industrious days

I feel glad with the way we interact

And with how to be the smartest

This will surely have a great impact

On our way to becoming the best

Essentiality of Technology

Technology has a big impact to humans nowadays. Through technology, devices have improved their usefulness. There are so many new devices in our generation. One of those devices are laptops. Laptops are significant for students nowadays. They do not just help us to lessen our works, but also serve as an entertainment. There are so many advantages from using laptops. They're handy unlike the desktop PC, but useful like the desktops. We, humans, are get so many benefits from using laptops. We can use it in surfing the net, e-mails, making documents and many more. 

In my collage of laptops, I used different photos of devices which contributed in making my works lighter and easier. I chose laptop because it helps me a lot in my homeworks and even in communicating with my loved ones and friends. I consider it as the most useful device for students like me. My school works became lighter when I use my laptop. I can easily surf the net and visit social networking sites to connect with my classmates. On the smaller images in the collage, I used some of the essential devices I am using. Those are computers, laptops, cellphones, calculators, printers, and hard drives. All of those devices help me in my daily activities. I use computer and laptop when I need to make documents is MS Word, when I need to send e-mails to my friends, when I need to surf the net, and when I need to do something important in my laptop or computer. Another device is the cellphone. My cellphone is mostly used for texts and calls. I also use it for entertainment and recreational purposes. Calculator is useful for me also, especially during Analytic Geometry time. With my calculator, I can solve math problems easily and accurately. Printers are also needed for students. I can print my paper works and projects using printers. The last device is a hard drive. We can save important files, videos, and movies in hard drives because of their big memory. 

Technology is a big advantage for humans. All devices are made to lessen the burden of work of humans. We all consider some of those devices as the most useful for us. For me, I consider laptop as the most essential device. We, humans, should use our devices wisely because these devices have disadvantages that may harm us. 

Act 5, Sene 3: "A Twist In A Story"

ORIGINAL

After the death of Juliet, Paris and his page went to the Capulet's monument to put some flowers on Juliet's tomb. He asked his page to put the torch out, so no one can see him. The page went to the yew-trees to make sure that no one's coming. The page will whistle to let Paris know that someone is coming. 

Inside the monument, Paris wept while scattering the sweet flowers on Juliet's tomb. He couldn't accept that he lost Juliet. Suddenly, his page whistled. Paris hid in the dark. Romeo arrived with Balthazar. Romeo took the pickax and the crowbar. He gave a letter to Balthazar and told him to give it to his father. Romeo also instructed Balthazar to never interrupt his plan. He wants to get Juliet's ring for an important purpose. Balthazar agreed and Romeo told him to live and be prosperous. Because of Balthazar's doubts, he didn't leave. He hid in a nearby place and fell asleep. Romeo started opening Juliet's tomb. Paris, whispering quietly, recognized him. He was so angry to Romeo. Paris went out of the dark and told Romeo that he'll kill him. Romeo pleaded to Paris that he shouldn't interrupt a desperate person like him because he doesn't want to commit another sin. Paris refused. He said that he's arresting Romeo as a criminal. The two of them fought and Paris was killed. Romeo laid Paris in the tomb, then opened the tomb of Juliet. He wept very hard and hoped that Juliet was still alive. He kissed Juliet and got the poison in his pocket. Romeo drank the poison and died immediately. 

Friar Laurence arrived in the monument. He saw Balthazar and asked him who are inside. Balthazar said that it was his master, Romeo. Friar Laurence told Balthazar to come with him, but Balthazar refused to. He still obeys his master.  Friar Laurence saw blood on the tomb and found the dead Rome and Paris. Juliet was awakened. Juliet was looking for Romeo. Friar Laurence said that Romeo is dead, as well as Paris. He told Juliet to leave and be a  nun. He heard that someone is approaching, so they need to be fast. Juliet didn't leave, but Friar Laurence left. Juliet saw the cup of the poison Romeo drank. She kissed Romeo in the lips, but there's no use. Juliet heard that someone's coming, so she quickly stabbed herself. 

The page and chief watchman arrived. They searched inside the monument. They found the dead body of Romeo. The other watchman found friar Laurence weeping. They found the friar suspicious, so they didn't let him go. The Prince, together with Capulet and Lady Capulet arrived. All of them were curious. Lady Capulet was crying so hard because of her daughter. The Montagues also arrived. Lady Montague was dying because of her son, Romeo. Friar Laurence said that he's he one to be blamed. He's there during the scene. The friar told everything. Including the marriage and the potion he gave to Juliet. He said that he sent a letter to Romeo to tell him the truth, but it was too late. Romeo thought that Juliet was really dead. Friar told that Romeo killed Paris, killed himself and then Juliet also killed herself after seeing the dead Romeo. Balthazar was asked to state everything he know. He told that he was the one who brought the news about Juliet to Romeo, them Romeo immediately went to the tomb. Romeo asked him to give the letter from Romeo to his father. He was instructed to leave, but he didn't. Balthazar handed the letter to the prince. The prince asked Paris' page the reason why they are in the tomb. The page said that his master wants to spread some sweet flowers on Juliet's tomb. The prince told the Capulets and Montagues the result of their evilness. The two enemies stopped their fightings and started to live peacefully. 

MY VERSION

After Juliet's death, the Capulet, Lady Capulet and Paris went to the monument to bring her flowers and visit the lovely dead body of Juliet. They want to see her once more because of the loneliness filling the Capulet's house. Friar Laurence was there, waiting for Juliet to wake up. He hid in a nearby place and watched the Capulets and Paris. While weeping inside the monument, Lady Capulet noticed that Juliet was not pale and her lips were still red. Paris suddenly saw the movement of Juliet's fingers. All of them were shocked.

When Juliet woke up, she was searching for Romeo, but Romeo's not in the monument. He stayed in Mantua while weeping to death and blaming everything to himself. He can't see the dead body of Juliet anymore because it hurts him a lot. He can't accept the fact that he's the cause of his wife's death. Juliet was very disappointed. She didn't know that Romeo will leave her. Juliet didn't expect that Romeo will do it to her. Her love for Romeo changed into hatred. Her heart was filled with sorrow. She cried and cried in the monument. Her parents felt sorry for her. They tried to stop her from crying, but she won't stop. It took a long time for them to ask Juliet to stop. Paris asked Juliet the reason for her tears. Juliet didn't tell him the reason. Instead, she hugged Paris. She felt very down. She didn't eat  for days. Paris entertained him for a long time. He never give up. Paris was very determined in making Juliet fall for him. Lady Capulet talked to Juliet. She told Juliet about all the hardships Paris had gone through because of his love for her. Juliet's mother begged Juliet to marry Paris. Juliet agreed because it's the only way she knows on how to repay all the kindness and love of Paris. She agreed even though she still loves Romeo. 

The next day, a party was held in the Capulet's house. It was also a party for the marriage of Paris and Juliet. Balthazar tried to tell it to Romeo, but Romeo didn't believed. He didn't get out of his house in Mantua. He said that he doesn't want Juliet to get hurt because of him again. While the Capulets rejoiced, the Montagues wept because of Romeo. They don't know what to do with Romeo.In the party, Paris was so happy. He couldn't belive that Juliet will marry him. Juliet's face was smiling, but it doesn't mean that she's happy. She's hiding the fact that her heart is only beating for Romeo, not Paris. 

Juliet and Paris got married. The reason why Juliet married Paris is to forget the pain she felt because of Romeo. She wants to forget Romeo completely and to replace Romeo in her heart with Paris. They had a beautiful daughter named Julieta. Paris' family became very happy. They always spend time together. They cherish every moment with each other. He became a good husband to Juliet and a good father to Julieta. Deep inside, Juliet wasn't happy. she's thinking that it should be Romeo, not Paris. Beyond those happiness is a bitter truth about Julieta. Julieta's father is Romeo. Juliet knows that she is already pregnant before she married Paris. Juliet never told it to anyone because of the fear that Paris will know it. She wants nothing but the best for her daughter. Juliet wants Julieta to live peacefully and with a decent father. When Balthazar already convinced Romeo to go back to Verona, Romeo found out that everything Balthazar was saying were true. Romeo went to the house of Paris' family. He saw that their family were so happy. He begged to Juliet. He wants them to be together again. Juliet's heart was starting to glow again, but she refused to. Romeo didn't stop, so Paris stabbed him. Juliet shouted at Paris. She quickly went to Romeo and kissed him. They apologized to each other and accepted their mistakes. Paris was so angry and told Juliet to leave Romeo. That's the time when Juliet confessed. She told that she still loves Romeo and that Julieta's real father was Romeo. Because of too much depression, Paris stabbed himself. Julieta cried and hugged her mother, Juliet.Romeo, Juliet and Julieta lived together as a family. The Capulets and Montagues became close and lived happily and peacefully. They all realized that too much fights could lead to too much troubles. They loved their grand daugter Julieta and protected her, hoping that the same mistakes will happen again.  

Daddy's Incomparable Love

A father is a person who commonly works for the family. He's known as the boss and leader of the family. More than that, people always forget that fathers do great things beyond their responsibilities. They don't just do their duties because they have to. They do them with love, care and courage. That is why we celebrate Father's day every year. It's a day to honor and express our gratitude to our beloved father, papa, daddy or tatay. On this day, we are able to show them how we feel.

As a daughter, I never forget to say "I love you" to my daddy. It is my own way of expressing how happy I am to be his daughter. I may not be able to thank him and say to him what I feel, but he's still one of the most important person for me. He may not be always by my side, but I know he's always hoping that I'm fine. I may not be a perfect daughter for my daddy, but I can feel that he's proud of me. He may not be always there for me during hard times, but I can feel that he doesn't want me to give up.   He shares his laughs, stories and other things with me. It's like he's just my friend. My daddy is not a perfect father. He's just a simple father who loves his family. What makes him different is his support and care for his family even though he is always busy working. I always thank God for giving me my daddy.  I am very lucky to have a father like my daddy. I wish he knew how proud I am to have him. I appreciate every single efforts by my daddy. He may not notice it, but I appreciate those things. I hope that he also feels the same. That he appreciates all my hard works to make them proud. All my hard works in school and home. How I wish that he is proud of me as his daughter. I may not be a perfect daughter, but I assure my daddy that I'll do my very best for him to be proud of me.

All my achievements in school were dedicated for him. He wants me to be successful in life. My daddy wants nothing but the best for his family. He always wish that I will succeed in my dreams. He wants me to be a cpa lawyer, so I'll do my best to be a cpa lawyer. I won't ever disappoint him. He's to good to be disappointed. I want his dream for me to come true because I love him and it's also what I want. We share the same interests, likes, and dislikes.

My daddy is a very disciplined person. He always teaches us to have proper manners and to be disciplined. He's always concerned with how we act, move, or speak. My daddy is very serious when it comes to our attitude. He wants us to be as good as we can be. But when it comes to bonding time, my daddy's so great. I idolize him so much. He has a great sense of humor. He can always make me laugh even though I'm not in a good mood.

Words are not enough to tell him everything that I want to say to him. I hope that through these few inspiring words, my daddy could realize how much I love him and how much I care for him. He's a father I would really want to have. I will never forget to give thanks and praise to my father even if it's not Father's day. I will repay my daddy when I grew up for all the good things he gave and taught me, I promise. I love you so much Daddy!

A Hero of a Kind

A hero is not always about a person who has physical strength and powers. We often forget the people around us who are always there to protect, guide and love us in our bad and good times may also be considered as our heroes.  They can be heroes for us in their own little ways.

Of all the people who cared and loved me, I consider my grandmother as my hero. For me, my grandma is one of a kind hero because she continues to love, understand me at my worst. She may lack physical strength and may be old, but my grandma never fails to make me feel happy and alright. My grandma raised like one of her own. I never felt like I was someone else to her. She was the only person who was there for me when I felt like giving up in life's challenges. My grandma gave me strength and courage in everything I do. She patiently understands me with my problems all the time.

Having a hero like my grandma is very rare. It's hard to find a real-life hero who will patiently be there for you. I feel very blessed to have a grandmother like her. I am very proud to say that my grandma is my hero.
